RETAIL BUILDING RESTORATION
Re-structure some historical buildings and offer an internal court with a glass cover: This challenge, faced within the context of a 1600 building, Palazzo Gallaratti Scotti, has been to obtain aesthetic harmony between historical and contemporary architecture. Internal spaces are essential, designed to give shelter to designer products. The glass cover satisfies acoustic requirements and thermal exchange between outdoors and indoors, thus granting the possibility of using the courtyard all year round. The innovative steel and glass structure is self-carrying and has been designed to be easily assembled and dismantled to restore the historical building to its original configuration.
