ITALIAN PAVILION FOR EXPO SHANGAI 2010
From the Contest Title: “Better City, Better Life” to the Concept of representing  Italy at the Universal Exposition Shanghai 2010. The Piazza (Square), one of the symbols of Italian culture and architectural language, constitutes the starting point of an ambitious project with the object of bringing to Shanghai, if not Italy itself, at least its atmosphere, language, culture, its well known  passion for good taste. Characteristic and traditional materials such as brick, that of innovation and design, such as plastic, together with the careful  use of natural and artificial light, are the instruments of a project  whose object  is to re-propose, in a different style, “the most public of public spaces”. There is a unique synergy in the blending of plastic and Tuscan tiles.
