ENVIRONMENTAL STRATEGIES
The need to make an extension and to renew the Inter (major league soccer team) fitting studio, made necessary new buildings for the rehab area and accommodation for athletes and staff. The integrated project for the new Sport Center has been conceived using environmentally friendly strategies and modern implantation solutions that could made possible a rational use of natural resources. The swiss standard called MINERGIE has been used to develop a high performance for environement and comfort on a reliable certification system. The pernickety application of those principles, extremely strict has allowed on simulation to reduce consumption of the building to ¼ on winter time and reducing them in summer time also.
Mauricio Cardenas contribution to the project regards in particular the definition of environmental strategies, the choice of MINERGIE as the certification system to follow at the time and the selection of the energy consultants.
